Quick Note

I am returning shortly, as promised!

I will be coming back with a new podcast episode soon and am in the depths of scheduling with a bunch of really exciting guests! I came back from my vacation with a sinus infection (boo), so I have been struggling to record and not sound like I’m dying, but I am here! The Bahamas (the vacation I went on) were amazing, and I got a lot of rest and loved every minute of the besties cruise I was on.

In addition, I am starting a new Substack to branch off of this one. I have announced it in a few places, but I am currently pursuing going back to college for my M.Div. with the intent to become a chaplain. With that in mind, I’ve started a secondary blog so I don’t clutter this one with content y’all aren’t here for.

However, if you are interested to hear what I have to say about faith, Christianity, and politics, I’ll be posting those conversations over on: “Refusal To Sing.” All the things happening in the world have left me unable to stay silent, and I feel very strongly about a lot of things that this particular podcast does not cover.

I am not quitting writing. I am not backing off of this podcast or quitting my book series. I am, in fact, planning on continuing with all of it. The new Substack is mostly a place for me to roar into the void regarding all of the things happening in the world right now in a way that might help others feel seen, heard, and cared for. As well as an opportunity for me to speak truth to the harsh cruelty of our current situation.
