Rising Fire: Chapter 2
Dust and T. walked into the kitchen about five minutes after I'd pulled out the frozen peas. Neither of them said anything to start with, and Asakku had been right about the black eye. Without breaking the silence, I handed T. the peas, and he grunted quietly, pressing them to his face. Both of them looked worse for wear, but I didn't see any sort of serious injuries.
Dust broke the silence first. “I saw you two there.”
Eirlas grimaced and looked down but said nothing in response.
“You could've been hurt. Fuck, Eirlas, you could've been killed or even arrested. My guys wouldn't have known you're not—”
